COVID-19 Resources for Students and Families

During our campus closure, please click "read more" below for all of our academic, school and community resources that are available to Cristo Rey students and families at this time.

Academic Protocols: Beginning Tuesday, March 17th

Students should “report” to school every day by logging into Google Classroom and submitting the attendance form for EACH of their core classes EVERY day, including their designated CWSP work day. This counts as their attendance for the day, and failure to complete the attendance form will count as an absence.

  • Students are encouraged to follow a set schedule daily, such as this:
  • 9:00-9:50 English class
  • 10:00-10:50 Math class
  • 11:00-11:50 Social Studies class
  • 1:00-1:50 Science class
  • 2:00-2:50 Religion class
  • 3:00-3:50 Spanish class
  • Students must submit attendance forms for English, Math and Social Studies by 11:50am daily, and submit attendance for Science, Religion, and Spanish by 3:50pm daily.

Teachers have sent emails to students with the code to join their Google Classroom for their core classes (English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Religion, Spanish). Students are not on vacation! They will be expected to complete online coursework EVERY day for their core classes, as well as a CWSP assignment on their work day. Work will be graded and averaged into their second semester grades.

  • All assignments for all classes are due by midnight that day to be considered “on time.”

Students are expected to check school email frequently. We strongly encourage students to install their school email accounts onto their phones for ease of access.

Students are expected to contact teachers or office staff via email if they are unable to access Google Classroom or posted classroom materials or if they are having technical trouble. Failure to complete work due to accessibility issues will not be excused unless the student has made efforts to resolve the challenges.

How will students get class assignments?

Teachers are sending emails to students today that include information on how to join their Google Classrooms, deadlines for completing work for their classes, and hours of availability via email and Zoom video conference or call. Students are expected to log into Google Classroom daily for all core classes.
